The relationship between fear and desire

Fear is a relationship between “Your desire” and the “World’s condition”.
Even your definition of ‘What is a fear/threat’ is relative to ‘Your desire’.
Right now, if your knowledge (whatever you have) gives you enough freedom to pursue your desire, you will have well-being.
Once your desire grows far beyond this world, you will want to transcend (maybe now or later this life or after 100s of lives).
To give an example, say a bird sitting at your window threatens to leave you.
It is not a threat at all, if the bird is not your desire at all.
Only things that are your desire can be threatened.
If you have insulated yourself from all threats and ensured your desires stay confined to only where you have 100% control, then you will have 0 fear.
There is no fear for LOSING something you never desired.
Fear comes only when we desire something that is out of our control.
For instance, desire of human relationships is much more precarious that desire of material objects, because they are not as controllable as the material counterpart. One then is more vulnerable to both fear, and the pain of loss which is the eventuality that the fear guards against.
All fear is a defense from loss.

Life and Death, Desire and Fear

Fear = To catch-up/make up the deficit = making up for loss
Desire = expansion = gain

desirefear

Reminds me of the concept in Kabbalah of emptying your kli/vessel.
The emptying process is death -> emptying, passing -> descending
The filling process is life -> filling, arising -> ascending
When identity is a ‘partial filling’ (a something) -> then the extent of that something will determine how much there is to die.
[Fear] and [Positive Anticipation] are both moods – Fear is the mood of death, positive anticipation is the mood of life.
Now the important part here is that, gain and loss are simultaneous forces.
So these moods coexist, and oscillate between each other.
Life is when gain is greater than loss – creating the predominant mood of positive anticipation
Death is when loss is greater than gain – creating the predominant mood of fear
Life and death are both simultaneous forces.
They simply play with each other like day and night.
Darkness hides behind the light, and light hides behind the darkness.
Life and death are not linear processes that follow one after the other, like a sine wave.
They are more like this:

lifedeath

The central column which is formless non-dual, breathes in and out a dream of duality into existence.
And to the extent there is life there is also the fear of death.
They are inseparable opposites.
In a sense life and death are not 2 different things, they are one and the same thing like the poles of the same ‘magnet’.
What can we call this magnet that encompasses both life and death? – dharma/reality maybe?

In order to see daylight, you need to hold the implicit night in your perception.
And in order to see the dark, you need to hold the implicit daylight in your perception.
Similarly, one knows what life is only because there is death.
And one knows what death is only because there is life.

You will never get what you desire

You will never get what you desire, when you desire it.
This is because, “You can only desire what is not there now”.
That object that you desire is not there now because – the truth of your frequency and conditions ‘NOW’ does not match that of the object.
When you do reach the frequency and conditions to match that of the object, then, the object appears in your NOW.
But like I said earlier “You can only desire what is not there now”.
So when the object is part of your NOW, there is no longer desire for it.
All that has happened is the disappearance of the desire that was previously present.
This absence of desire would give you a temporary happiness, and then, the desire energy may redirect itself to some other object.
So “Chasing desires is like chasing a mirage”.

Desire comes from lack

All desire is from lack.
Lack -> (puts out) Desire force outward to seek the lacked quality.
We repress qualities in ourselves and then seek it in others or enhance it with others.
Its as though, we vicariously live those qualities through others (the ones we denied in ourselves, that is)
This repression/denial of quality potentials is unconscious (and might be part of the whole play of existence to believe you do not possess a quality yourself and need an other to get it from).
It is part of the childhood programming, when these structures are formed.
These structures decide, what you will find in yourself and what quality you will seek in an other.

Desire = Focus = Drives Reality

Desire drives focus.
And your reality is what your focus on.
So Desire -> Focus -> Reality.
If at any moment you want focus, find the desire in that moment, that is your focus, and your reality will tune to that.
Also if desire vacates the regular world, society, other people and moves on to something else abstract, the focus will accordingly shift and your reality WILL VACATE the world, the world will cease.
The same rule applies to all out of body states.
It is all driven by desire.
When you desire an out of body state -> you focus on it.
The better your focus, the more that state fills your reality replacing the current reality you are in.
Your potentials for experience therefore depend on the available desires in your reality appearance.

Following the Desire to change something never works

My desires and emotions are giving me a message about reality like “mathematics”.
I will listen to that directly without “resistance” or “desire to change it”.
“Desire to change something” is always a “Reaction” and not an “Action”.
This can be understood, by looking at “Forces” and Structures”
( Martial arts clearly demonstrates this principle in a tangible physical manner
Here is a wing-chun video that demonstrates this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7r85CAAxJfQ )
A structure generates force, no structure = no force
So, desires and emotions are “forces” generated by an underlying “structure”.

The reality I experience is analogous to where I put my focus/attention.
When I INVEST in the DESIRE to change something, then I am investing my attention energy into the FORCE and not the STRUCTURE generating the force.
So as a result, I only become aware of the FORCE and the places it takes me to, and not of the structure itself that generated the force in the first place.
Consequently, the “STRUCTURE” which is the very thing I want to change, never enters my awareness (because I am too busy chasing the FORCE), and change is as a result – IMPOSSIBLE.

That is why Einstein said “A problem can never be solved at the level of consciousness in which it originated”.
Only transcending to a subtler level allows the structure to enter your awareness.

Letting go of the desire to change something, and BEING with the something, is the only way I can see the very structure and not get caught up by the paths created by the forces generated by the structure.

Cycles of sexual potentials

Sexualized images -> mobilize pleasure -> and modify all behavior towards the procurement of that pleasure.
However, the sexualization capacity is directly related to the sex hormone – testosterone.
The cycles of testosterone circling determine the cycles of sexualization/pleasure capacity from previously sexualized images (carry a momentum).
Once sexualization feeling-image combinations are tapped into -> there is a pressure created in the system to release -> and when desire gets aligned to that, it carries a momentum with it and pulls the emotions and mind towards its fulfillment/release.
This pressure to release sexual feelings, as it builds up each time from the testosterone cycle is the prison.
The prison is of the modification of behavior (thought and emotion) for its purposes in cycles.
Its not completely imprisoning since it creates a compelling potential for a pleasure peak, but then there is a tendency to give-in to it.
What could be wrong with giving in, to a natural pleasure that gives you a cycle (opportunity/potential) or 2 a day?
Another angle here is the whole dopamine-prolactin cycle created. Each time you peak in dopamine when an orgasm happens, it is followed by a period of relaxation and total lack of desire for any more sexual activity.
Interestingly the sexual activities literally almost get disgusting in this prolactin phase.
Studying this illuminates its illusion which is quite interesting. How can something that was so desirable just minutes ago, seem so uninteresting and disgusting just after orgasm. There is just total disinterest for the very same object.
It is so dis-interesting, you immediately put it out of your consciousness and pursue something else.
Being unconscious of something shows the extent of disinterest.
You are so disinterested, that you literally want to take your mind completely off it, only to repeat it again the next day with the same intensity.
The inference I have come to from observing 1000s of such cycles is that, the nature of all sexual activity is EMPTY.
It is just like a short acting natural drug like cocaine which gives a rush of pursuit/focus -> peak/orgasm -> release/relaxation/satisfaction/afterglow.
The mechanism seems to be the same.
