The world of hyper polarization

The world-era today is called by different names,
Information Age (Info-wars), Age of Hyper Polarization, and so on.
In order to polarize you must take a position of choosing any one side against the other (Red team-Blue team, X-Y etc.).

The issue of taking sides is that,
It creates an endless attack-defense relationship between the 2 sides.
Since there is a vested interest in preserving one’s position,
True investigation cannot happen, and there is circular-thinking from both sides.

When I ponder on this topic further,
It seems like true investigation can only happen from a position of dispassion and disinterest.
The best position that one can take imo seems to be the transcendent position,
That is, the position that transcends both polarities.

As Einstein had said: “Problems cannot be solved from the same level of consciousness in which they exist.”
It is almost like true vision is directly proportional to the level of transcendence/disinterest/disinvestment/dispassion.
More the disinterest = Greater the seeing.

All problems in a way are about polarized positions (1 or -1).
To be FOR or AGAINST, to SUPPORT or OPPOSE, to BE or NOT TO BE and so on.
The truest position is the highest position, which imo is the position of the beginners mind functioning from direct mind-sight, the position of total innocence and direct seeing.
This could be called unconditioned light, or our true nature.

Reminds me of another interesting quote I heard somewhere:
“We know enough to know that we are right,
But we do not know enough to know how we are wrong.”
For instance the world looks flat to us (we know enough to know that we know).
But it takes quite a bit of genius to discover that it is round (to know enough to know how we were wrong in retrospect).
Another example would be: “The world looks solid to us, but it is made up of atoms, and atoms are 99.99% empty space”.
From the level of primordial innocence though,
Both are appearances of the dream field.

The dream of life passes before our eyes.
At various points we close down,
And believe we understand almost everything there is to know about this dream.
We close ourselves into fixed routines, expectations, and conclusions.
But the original mystery we once encountered long before still exists underneath,
And it will reveal itself yet again,
Bringing us back the revelation,
Of our true nature, of being unconditioned light.

The soul themes

At an abstract level, we are tuned into themes themselves.
The theme is like a spectrum, a 2 poled rod.

For instance, the theme could be:
[…Poor —— Rich…]
Once tuned into that, your focus will be on that aspect of existence.
Both the poor and the rich are actually tuned into the same game of sorts.
Now, there is no absolute poor or rich.
It is all based in relativity.
So really it is only a long infinite line,
Spanning from poor on the left to rich on the right, with you in the center.
If you look to the left you are richer,
If you look to the right you are poorer.
So depending on how you draw your frame of reference,
You can position yourself as rich or poor,
As your relative position inside the frame you hold.
Only if you believe you are poor will you seek riches.
So you have to tune into that theme first and then position yourself in a frame to begin playing.
You will play the game until you achieve your ideal and neutralize.
Then you may move on to other themes.

Now just like the poor-rich theme,
There could be many many such themes.
Here is a list of some of them:
Knowledge —– Ignorance
Power —– Powerlessness
Pleasure —– Pain
Master ——- Student
Guru ——— Disciple
Wonder —— Mundane
Freedom —– Entrapment
High energy —- Low energy
Togetherness —– Aloneness
Relationships —- Loneliness
Ecstasy —— Depression
Health —— Disease
Positive body image —– Negative body image
Security —– Insecurity
Meaning —— Meaninglessness
High self esteem —– Low self esteem
High status —— Low status
Atonement —— Guilt
Ease —— Stress
Safety —— Fear
Order —— Chaos
Good ——- Evil
Right —— Wrong
Perfection —— Imperfection
Independence —– Enmeshment
Attractiveness —- Unattractiveness
Authenticity —– Fakeness
Joy —– Misery
Interests —– Boredom
Escapes —- Traps
Usefulness —– Uselessness
Transcendence —— Bondage
Flow/Harmony —– Friction/Conflict

People are generally invested in many such themes,
With different priorities depending upon their conditioning imprints.
Their explicit ego ideals and actions reflect their implicit position.
Like you want to get rich because you believe you are poor.
The poorer you believe yourself to be, the more unacceptable you feel it is, the stronger will be your drive to achieve the necessary riches to complete and neutralize.
So what themes are you invested in?
Something to contemplate.

Different ways of dealing with others

When watching YouTube videos of influential speakers, I often read through a lot of the comments too.
What I have noticed is a broad pattern.
I haven’t totally thought through this, but I was excited to present my immediate findings.

Firstly, I’ve seen the more popular/contentious you are, the more the intensity of fans and haters.
In people’s responses I see the following trends:
The speaker say Person A makes an argument, assertion or simply presents his view “X”.
Now lets say people B, C, D, E react to this.
* Person B says “X is wrong, X'(X complement) is true”.
* Person C says “X is wrong, Y is true”.
* Person D says “Not only is X true but it is also supported by Y”
* Person E says “X is true, but Z is truer than X”
The responses of B,C,D and E represent the 4 broad types I’ve noticed.

Here is a more algorithmic form of the response types:
For X then X’ = Position X’ (Oppose X) – Reactionary
For X then Y = Position Y (Invalidate/Deny X, Present Y) – Blind
For X then Xx = Position X+x (Clarify/support X with x) – Bolstering
For X then U = Position U (Transcend X and dissolve it in a larger frame U) – Transcending
